# Sending event announcements

> How to send announcements to your event guests by text message and email.

`Rocketpunch` > `Enterprise Services` > `Events` > `Events` > `Manage event` > `Announcements` is where you send guests an announcement by text message or email.

## Sending an announcement

In `Choose recipients`, pick the guests who receive the announcement and set when it goes out. You can send immediately or schedule it. Choose email, text message, or both as the delivery method. Enter a subject and body, then select `Send announcement`.

Announcements go to the phone number and email address each guest entered when registering their ticket. If your guest list changed after registration, select refresh recipients to bring it up to date.

<Warning>
  The subject can be at most 40 bytes, and emoji are stripped from both the subject and the body. <br />Sending text messages costs money. The minimum payment is ₩100; if you try to pay less than that, the minimum ₩100 is charged.
</Warning>

## Sending reminder emails

Under additional settings in `Events` > `Manage event` > `Permissions and settings`, you can turn on reminder emails. Guests are sent a reminder 24 hours and 1 hour before the event starts, including `View my ticket and QR code`.

## Automatic emails

Separately from the announcements a host sends, an email goes out automatically whenever a guest's ticket status changes.
