# Using Messages

> How to read and reply to the messages people send your company.

`Rocketpunch` > `Enterprise Services` > `Messages` is where you exchange messages with people.

## Exchanging messages

Select a conversation in the list and it opens on the right. Messages are grouped by date, and you and the other person can message each other in real time.

Reaching Messages requires the Social permission. For details, see [Understanding permissions](/en/console/permission-roles).

## Hiring messages

You can also message an applicant directly from their application. That is convenient when you want to write while looking at their details and submitted documents.
