# Creating a company profile
> How to create a company profile.
## Before you start
Creating a second profile for a company that is already registered splits it in two. Search for your company name on Rocketpunch first to see whether a profile already exists.

If a company profile already exists but permission cannot be transferred because the previous admin left or moved teams, do not create a new company profile. Get permission by following [Requesting permission to manage a company profile](/en/console/permission-request) instead. Several profiles for one company confuse the people who visit them.
## Preparing a personal profile
Creating a company profile requires **a personal Rocketpunch account for the person who will manage it**. Without a Rocketpunch account, you cannot create a company profile. One Rocketpunch account can manage several companies, and several people can manage one company together.
**Do not create the personal account under the company's name.** The personal profile you create in order to hold admin permissions belongs to that admin, while the company profile is the account for the company itself.

The handle you choose when you create the profile cannot be changed often. Once changed, you have to wait 60 days to change it again, and you can only revert within 30 days of the change. For details, see [Set up your handle and career](/en/account-initialization).
## Creating the company profile
1. Go to `Rocketpunch` > `Enterprise Services`.
2. Follow the instructions on screen to create the company profile. If you already manage a company, select `Create company` to continue.
### What you enter

| Company name | Use your company name or the name of the service you run. |
| Profile URL | The address of your company profile. You choose what comes after `www.rocketpunch.com/companies/`. Use up to 30 lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. A hyphen cannot come first or last, and hyphens cannot be used consecutively. |
| Business registration number | Optional. |
| Company introduction | Up to 300 characters. Optional. |
| Industry | Pick a top-level industry, then a sub-category. |
| Company size | Chosen by headcount. |

## Adding more information
The representative, capital, annual revenue, headcount, total funding raised, founding date, headquarters address, address details, and location notes are added after you create the company profile, in `Profile` > `Company information`.
