# Frequently asked questions

> As long as you complete identity verification, you can get back into the account you used before.

<Columns cols={1}>
  <Column>
    <Accordion title="My old social account is gone and I can't log in">
      As long as you complete identity verification, you can get back into the account you used before.

      For example, if you signed up with a Google account but can no longer use it, log in with an Apple account and complete identity verification — you will be connected to your existing account.

      For details, see [When you can't access your previous login method](/en/account-login-error).
    </Accordion>

    <Accordion title="I deleted my account, but my profile still comes up in internet searches">
      It can take up to 30 days for the deletion to be reflected in search engines. If you want your information hidden right away, you can submit a request to each search engine.

      * Google: [Remove web search results from Google Search](https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/11080680?hl=en)
      * Naver: [Request removal of a site (post) from search results](https://help.naver.com/inquiry/input.help?categoryNo=5575\&serviceNo=5626\&lang=en)

      For details, see [Deleting your account](/en/account-delete).
    </Accordion>

    <Accordion title="Can I delete someone else's account or profile on their behalf?">
      Logging in is how you prove that you are the person authorized to manage an account. Rocketpunch does not delete accounts or information based on requests where we cannot confirm your identity. If you cannot log in, you can submit documents that prove your identity, get access to the account, and then delete it yourself.

      For details, see [Deleting your account](/en/account-delete).
    </Accordion>

    <Accordion title="There is a profile I never created. (Suspected impersonation)">
      If the profile isn't one you created, or you suspect impersonation and can't log in at all, follow the steps in [Reporting and blocking a profile](/en/report-profile).
    </Accordion>

    <Accordion title="A handle I never set is already on my account">
      If your handle was created under the old rules, you'll be prompted to set a handle that matches the new format the next time you log in. At that point you can keep the handle you're using now, or choose one that nobody else is using yet.

      Your handle can also change when you move (merge) the profile from a previous account into your current account. For details, see [Setting your handle and career](/en/account-initialization).
    </Accordion>

    <Accordion title="I'm asked to set a new handle, but my old ID isn't available">
      A handle can't be the same as another user's, and it has to follow a set format.

      * It can be 3 to 30 characters long.
      * Only lowercase English letters (a–z), numbers (0–9), and hyphens (-) can be used.
      * Hyphens (-) cannot be used consecutively, and cannot come at the beginning or the end.
      * A handle that another user is already using is not available.

      For details, see [Setting your handle and career](/en/account-initialization).
    </Accordion>

    <Accordion title="Can I contact you by phone?">
      Rocketpunch does not offer phone support. Leave your question in the Support Center chat and an AI will help you first. You can be connected to an agent if needed, which usually takes less than 24 hours and in some cases 24 to 48 hours.
    </Accordion>

    <Accordion title="I don't want to receive marketing notifications">
      * In `Settings` > `Activity` > `Notifications`, you can turn off Promotions & Benefits notifications or withdraw your Consent to Receive Marketing Information.
      * For marketing emails, select `Click here to unsubscribe` at the bottom of the email to unsubscribe.

      For details, see [Notification settings](/en/setting-notification).
    </Accordion>

    <Accordion title="There is a posting in my application history that I never applied to.">
      For a job posting you apply to on an external hiring page, the moment you select `Go to application page` it counts as an application and is recorded in your application history automatically. If you didn't actually apply, delete the entry in `Activity` > `Applications` > `External Applications`. This has no effect on an application actually submitted on the external site.

      For details, see [Applying to a job posting](/en/jobs-apply).
