# Applying to job postings

> How to apply to a job posting, and how to save or share the ones you like.

Once you find a posting you like, you can apply to it right on Rocketpunch. Besides applying, you can also save a posting or share it with someone else.

You apply with the apply button on the posting page. Depending on the posting, it shows either `Quick Apply` or `Go to application page`.

## Quick Apply

Apply without leaving Rocketpunch: enter your name, email, and phone number, and attach your resume. After you apply, the button changes to `Applied` and you cannot apply to the same posting again.

<Warning>
  If the recruiter does not change the status for 28 days, the process ends automatically and the company can no longer view your documents.
</Warning>

### Checking your Quick Apply history

`Activity` > `Easy Apply` shows your postings and their status at a glance. Open an individual entry to see the information you submitted and its current status.

* **Cancel an application:** You can cancel an application that is still in progress with `Cancel Application`. Once canceled, the status changes to `Application Canceled`.
* **Delete an entry:** For applications that closed automatically because the company did not update the status for a long time, you can remove them from the list with `Delete application history`.

## Applying through the application page

With this method, you apply on the external careers page the company designates. Select `Go to application page`, then follow the instructions on that site to complete your application.

### Checking your external website application history

You can find it under `Activity` > `External Applications` > `Job Postings`.

* **Recorded automatically:** Selecting `Go to application page` counts as applying, so the posting is recorded here.
* **Delete entries:** If you did not actually apply or you no longer need the record, remove entries one at a time with `Delete`, or all at once with `Clear All History`. Deleting an entry does not affect an application you actually submitted on the external site.

## Saving

Select `Save` on a posting you are interested in, and you can find all your saved postings under `My Profile` > `Saved`. Select the save button again to unsave it.

## Sharing

Select `Share` on the posting to copy its address so you can share it with someone else. If the posting has closed or been made private, the person you share it with sees "This job posting is no longer available."

## Frequently asked questions

  <Accordion title="There is a posting in my application history that I never applied to.">
    For postings where you apply on an external careers page, the moment you tap `Go to application page` it counts as applying and is recorded automatically in your application history.
