# Notification settings

> In Settings > Notifications, you can choose which channels you get notifications through and which items you get notified about.

In `Settings` > `Notifications`, you can choose which channels you get notifications through and which items you get notified about.

## Channels to receive notifications

You can turn Rocketpunch Notifications, SMS, and Email on or off. Nothing is sent through a channel you turn off.

  You can't turn off notifications needed for **service operation** or **legal notices**, such as Application Status notifications and notifications about your account and security, billing, and terms updates. ## Networking notifications

| Item                          | Details                                                                     |

| Recommended Profiles          | Notifications for connections such as school alumni or work colleagues      |
| Recommended Posts             | Notifications for posts you might like based on your activity               |
| Participated Posts & Comments | Notifications about activity on posts or comments you participated in       |
| Promotions & Benefits         | Notifications for promotions and benefits you can receive                   |
| My Profile                    | Notifications about people who viewed or showed interest in your profile    |
| My Posts                      | Notifications about activity on your posts, such as new comments and Boosts |
| Mentions                      | Notifications when other users mention you                                  |
| Messages                      | Notifications for new and unread messages                                   |

## Recruitment notifications

| Item               | Details                                                                   |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Recommended Jobs   | Job recommendations matching your work experience and education           |
| Saved Jobs         | Updates and alerts for job postings you saved                             |
| Application Status | Notifications on the progress of jobs you applied to. Can't be turned off |

## Consent to receive marketing information

If you consent to receiving marketing information, you can get promotional information such as events, discounts, coupons, and partner ads. Marketing notifications are only sent when you have consented, and there is no restriction on using the service if you don't consent.

Marketing notifications carry an (Ad) label in front of the message, and no marketing information is sent at night (21:00–08:00). Starting from the date you first consented, we check every two years whether you want to keep your consent.

### Unsubscribe

You can opt out of marketing information at any time.

| The bottom of an email you received    | Select `Unsubscribe` at the bottom of the email to opt out. |
