# Applying to Tech Jobs on Rocketpunch: Step-by-Step Guide

> Learn how to apply to job postings on Rocketpunch, understand both application methods, and set up your profile for faster submissions.

Applying for a job on Rocketpunch is designed to be straightforward. Once you find a role that interests you, your existing profile does most of the heavy lifting — your experience, skills, and contact details are already on the platform, so you spend less time filling out forms and more time putting your best foot forward. This page walks you through the full application process, explains the two ways companies accept applications, and covers what you can do before hitting submit to make your application stand out.

## How to Apply

<Steps>
  <Step title="Find a job posting">
    Browse or search the [Jobs page](https://www.rocketpunch.com/en/jobs) using keywords, filters, and sort options to surface roles that match your skills and preferences. See [Search Tech Jobs](/user-guide/jobs/search) for a full walkthrough of the search tools.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the listing">
    Open the job posting and read through the full description — responsibilities, required qualifications, preferred skills, compensation range (if listed), and any company-specific requirements. Check the company profile linked from the posting to get a sense of team size, funding stage, and culture.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Apply">
    When you're ready, click the **Apply** button on the job posting. The button label and behaviour vary depending on how the company has set up their listing — either Quick Apply or an external career page link. Both paths are explained in the next section.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review your application details">

    Apply directly through Rocketpunch without leaving the platform. Your profile data fills in automatically, and the company receives your Rocketpunch profile information. This is the fastest path from listing to submission. See the [Quick Apply guide](/user-guide/jobs/quick-apply) for full details.

  <Card title="External Career Page" icon="arrow-up-right-from-square" href="https://www.rocketpunch.com/en/jobs">
    Some companies link to their own careers site or applicant tracking system. Clicking Apply takes you to that external page, where you complete the process according to the company's own requirements. Have your résumé and portfolio ready before clicking through.

  Some listings display both options — a Quick Apply button and a link to the company's own careers page. You can choose whichever method you prefer.

## Before You Apply

A few minutes of preparation before you submit can meaningfully improve your chances of hearing back.

* **Complete your profile.** A fully filled-out Rocketpunch profile gives hiring managers everything they need to evaluate you at a glance — and it speeds up every future application since your details auto-populate.
* **Tailor your headline.** Your profile headline is one of the first things a recruiter sees. Consider adjusting it to reflect the specific role or technology stack you're targeting before applying to a cluster of similar positions.
* **Read the full job description.** Requirements buried at the bottom of a listing — like a portfolio submission or a specific cover note format — are easy to miss if you skim. Read to the end before clicking Apply.
* **Check the company profile.** Rocketpunch company profiles show team size, tech stack, recent news, and other job openings. A quick review helps you decide whether the company is a genuine fit and gives you useful context if you move to an interview.

<Tip>
  A complete Rocketpunch profile makes applying faster across every listing — your information auto-populates so you spend less time on forms and more time on the roles worth pursuing.
</Tip>
