Your Rocketpunch profile is your public professional identity on the platform. It combines your work history, technical skills, education, and projects into a single page that companies and recruiters search when looking for candidates. A well-built profile doesn’t just tell your story — it makes you discoverable. The more complete and specific your profile is, the more often it surfaces in relevant searches by hiring teams across Korea’s tech industry.

Profile Sections

Your profile is organized into six key sections. Fill out as many as apply to you — each one adds depth and improves your visibility in search results.

Build Your Profile Step by Step

1

Navigate to your profile page

Log in to rocketpunch.com and click your avatar in the top-right corner. Select Profile from the dropdown to open your profile editor.
2

Add your work experience

Click Add Experience and fill in your job title, company name, employment dates, and a short description of your responsibilities and achievements. Add one entry for each relevant role. Be specific — mention technologies used and outcomes delivered.
3

List your skills and tech stack

In the Skills section, add the programming languages, frameworks, databases, and tools you use. Type each skill and select it from the autocomplete list to ensure it matches the platform’s indexed terms. Aim for 8–15 skills that accurately represent your expertise.
4

Add your education details

Click Add Education and enter your institution name, degree type, field of study, and the years you attended. Include any relevant coursework, honors, or academic projects if they strengthen your professional story.
5

Link your projects or portfolio

In the Projects section, add titles, descriptions, and links to notable work — whether that’s a GitHub repo, a live product, a design portfolio, or a published paper. Projects give recruiters concrete evidence of what you can build.
Adding specific, searchable tech skills — such as React, Python, Kubernetes, TypeScript, or AWS — directly improves your chances of appearing in recruiter searches. Recruiters on Rocketpunch frequently filter candidates by technology stack, so match your listed skills to the tools you’d genuinely use on the job.

Profile Visibility

By default, your Rocketpunch profile is public, meaning it can be discovered by companies, recruiters, and other members of the platform. You can adjust your visibility settings at any time:
  • Public — Your full profile is visible to all Rocketpunch users and may appear in search results. This is the recommended setting if you’re open to opportunities.
  • Private — Your profile is hidden from search results and is not visible to other users. Use this setting if you want to pause your presence on the platform without deleting your account.
To update your visibility, go to Settings → Privacy and toggle your profile visibility preference.
Setting your profile to private removes it from recruiter searches entirely. If you’re actively job hunting, keep your profile public to maximize your chances of being discovered.

Handle (Username)

Every Rocketpunch profile has a unique handle — a short username that forms your personal profile URL. For example, a handle of yourname gives you the URL rocketpunch.com/yourname. Your handle is set during sign-up and can be updated in Settings → Account. Choose a handle that’s professional and easy to share — many users use their name or a variation of it. Your handle appears on your public profile, in search results, and in any direct links you share with recruiters or collaborators. For full details on handle policies and usage, see Rocketpunch’s Terms of Service.
