Verify you're human with World ID

Rocketpunch supports World ID human verification to build a space for real people rather than bots or fake accounts. This page explains what World ID is and how to verify with it on Rocketpunch.

What is World ID?

World ID is a proof-of-personhood method provided by World. It lets you prove that you are a verified, unique user — not a bot or a fake account — without revealing other information such as your name or contact details. It is separate from Verify your account, which confirms that one person uses one account; World ID proves that the person behind the account is a real human. Once you complete human verification on Rocketpunch, you can access more profiles, posts, and conversations.

Add human verification to your Rocketpunch profile

You can add human verification from Settings > My Info & Login > Human Verification by selecting Verify. To add human verification, you need a World ID that has already completed human verification at an Orb. If you don’t have a World ID yet, see below for how to get one.

Rocketpunch does not manage your World ID verification data

Once you finish verifying at an Orb, the verification data is encrypted, sent to your phone, and does not remain on the Orb. Your World ID and verification data are stored only on your phone, so you manage them yourself. World ID is built on an open-source, decentralized protocol that no single company owns. Rocketpunch does not store or manage your World ID information during verification either. For more details, see World.
